Penciptaan Karya Tari Penyesalan Seorang Anak

Abstract

The work of dance creation with the title A Child's Regret is an empirical actualization of the author, when he lost his beloved mother due to death. This working concept is realized in the form of contemporary dance with a dance group performed by a female dancer. This dance work is thematically non-literary, because it conveys personal experiences related to feelings of affection, longing and loss for the figure of the mother, so it has a dramatic type using a single cone structure. The theory used is that put forward by Alma M. Hawkins, namely "that creativity includes imaginative thinking through the process of feeling, experiencing, imagining and discovering the truth". In line with this theory, in its development it uses the approach method proposed by FX Widaryanto, namely "exploration, improvisation and composition. The aim of creating this dance work is to convey or introduce a new work with the power of choreography sourced from stylized traditional movements and everyday movements (gestures).
