Kepribadian Tokoh-Tokoh Dalam Novel Zyanya Transmigration Karya Nur Hikmah

Abstract

Literary works are works composed by authors either orally or in writing. A novel is a fictional story that comes from the author’s imagination presented in written form. Characters are actors in a story event that have character or personality. Personality is a disposition that includes thoughts, feelings, and behavior which are characteristic of a person that show how he adapts and compromises in life. In the personality structure, Freud divides three important system elements, namely id, ego, and superego where person’s behavior is the result of the interaction of these three elements. The purpose of this study is to describe the personalities of the characters in the novel Zyanya Transmigration by Nur Hikmah. The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. This study examines the personalities of the main characters that often appear in the novel Zyanya Transmigration by Nur Hikmah. The result of the research conducted found that 22 main characters were studied, because they were often involved in the story. The personalities studied in the 22 characters include id, ego, superego. From the research conducted by the researcher, the personality structure of id, ego and superego was found in 87 quotes in the novel Zyanya Transmigration by Nur Hikmah where the character Zena Trixie Wihelmina looks more dominant than the other characters.
