Abstract

The aim of this research was to find out how the application of Two Stay Two Stray affects the ability to understand concepts and interest in learning in fifth grade elementary school students in science subjects. The method used in this research is the true experimental design method (a real experiment). The data collection technique used was using tests and questionnaires. The data analysis technique uses test questions that are tested for validity and reliability. The results of this research are that the average value of students' conceptual understanding ability in the experimental class is 76.15 and the control class is 61.36. The statistical group above shows that the average value of learning interest in the experimental class is 61. 31 and the control class is 41.50, the independent T test above obtained a significance value for understanding the concept of 0.031 and interest in learning 0.000, which is less than 0.05, which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that Two Stay Two Stray learning can be applied to the ability to understand concepts and interest in learning in class V of SD Negeri 227 Palembang.
