Abstract

Swimming championships have standard limits that must be achieved, either breaking existing records or creating new records. Therefore, maximum preparation and training are needed before participating in the competition, one of which is by knowing the athlete's abilities so that they can develop the right and appropriate training strategy. This study aims to determine the personal best time category of KU IV ACS Palembang athletes in the 100-meter freestyle in 2024 against the B limit of KU DKI Jakarta 2025. The research method used is a survey method with a population of 19 athletes and 7 samples determined based on the purposive sampling technique. Data collection in this study was done by measuring, recording and accumulating the 100-meter freestyle swimming time of KU IV ACS Palembang athletes, both male and female, during training, internal time trials, and other competitions a both regional and national levels, which were analyzed with reference to quantitative data, namely by entering the personal best (PB) time records of KU IV ACS Palembang athletes in the 100-meter freestyle even and comparing them with the predetermined limit, namely the B limit of KU DKI Jakarta 2025, so that it was concluded that only 14.28% or 1 out of 7 KU IV ACS Palembang athletes had reached the B limit of KU DKI Jakarta 2025, while the other 6 had no ye me the targe se by ACS Palembang.
